MOTHERS' KNOWLEDGE ABOUT EXPANDED PROGRAM ON IMMUNIZATION VACCINES IN EL- SIOUF FAMILY HEALTH CENTER IN ALEXANDRIA

Introduction: Immunization is an effective public health intervention to reduce morbidity and mortality among infants. It important means of controlling diseases, has been considered the most cost-effective intervention. The Expanded Program on (EPI) was initiated by World Health Organization (WHO) in 1974. routine vaccination program for Egypt made against ten diseases. These include diphtheria, tetanus whooping cough (DPT), hepatitis B (HepB), poliovirus (OPV), tuberculosis (BCG), measles, mumps rubella (MMR) lastly haemophilus influenza type b (Hib).Aim work: aim this study assess knowledge mothers children aged 0, 6 12 months attending El-Siouf Family Center regarding (EPI).Subjects methods:Research design: A descriptive cross-sectional conducted reveal mothers’ about vaccines.Research setting: Alexandria.Target Population: target population included infants during field visits their children.
